Sungkai Out @Holiday Lodge

Well... well... well... It's approaching to Eid-Mubarak a.k.a Hari Raya Aidilfitri Celebration in less than a week including tonight (since I'm doing it during the night time :-D) which is corresponding to 27th Ramadhan of Hijrah calendar. Opppsss... why am I talking about the celebration? It should be concerning about the "Sungkai" Outing. "Sungkai" also means as an "Iftar" in Arabic language while in English they might find it as "breaking the fast"- if I'm not mistaken LOL. Let me just give you the brief idea what is "Sungkai" or "Iftar" all about...

"In many Muslim and non-Muslim countries with large Muslim populations, the faithful will abstain from food from dawn to sunset. At sunset, the family will gather the fast-breaking meal known as Iftar. The meal starts with the ritual eating of a date — just as Prophet Muhammad was believed to have done. Then it's time for a prayer to thank Allah followed by the meal. In many homes, this is a simple meal of fruits and vegetables along with traditional Middle Eastern fare.

Over time, Iftar has grown into banquets and small festivals. This is a time of fellowship with families, friends and surrounding communities, but may also occupy larger spaces at mosques or banquet halls, where a hundred or more may gather at a time." taken from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ramadan
